Elderly couple's Jeannette house condemned after roaches, bugs found inside
JEANNETTE, Pa. -- A fire department, along with the Department of Aging, made a stop at a house in Jeanette after hearing elderly people were possibly living in filth.
Channel 11 News was there when the departments went to the home on Columbia Avenue about 9 a.m. on Friday.
Crews said the residents weren’t home when they got there, but inside, they found roaches and bugs everywhere. The house has now been condemned.
Councilman Mark Levander said he wants to help the elderly homeowners.
